They teach you how to use all aspects of your voice to make sure that no one part of it becomes to weak, such as the head voice.
There are also other styles of singing taught, so it’s important to ask any potential singing teacher which they specialize in before you get started with the lessons. Ideally, you’d want a teacher who knows a lot about all of the main styles of singing.
Remember, classical singing lessons do not necessarily mean that you’ll have to sing classical pieces.
